InteliSpend Prepaid Solutions, a US provider of prepaid services including stored-value cards, online reward management technology and program management, has joined forces with direct banking and payment services company Discover to roll out new prepaid card products on the Discover Network. The introduction is set to be completed by the end of November 2011.

Following the agreement, Discover will be able to obtain a license for InteliSpend’s DirectSpend process, a restricted authorization network (RAN) which enables a limited number of merchants and retailers to process direct spending. In addition, InteliSpend will process, issue and fulfill orders, take on risk and provide client and customer service support for Discover clients.

The MAX Discover Prepaid card, one of the new products set to be launched soon, provides redemption at a pre-built merchant set which includes over 200 specialty electronics, apparel, jewelry, home furnishings and travel retailers. The Preferences Discover Prepaid card allows businesses to build their own unique merchant set, based on their prepaid program’s purpose and strategy. The third new product, the Universal Discover Prepaid card, can be spent anywhere Discover is accepted across the US.

In recent news , InteliSpend Prepaid Solutions has expanded across the Canadian market by launching the Universal Visa Prepaid Card.
