Under the terms of the ten-year agreement, Logica is expected to provide the technology platform for Shell’s fuel card portfolio, whereas FleetCor’s Global FleetNet (GFN) card processing platform is set to be used to develop Shell’s customer offering.
The first pilot phase is due to be completed by April 2012 and the service is expected to be fully launched by the end of 2013. The project is expected to be available across 35 countries in Europe and Asia.
The contract is worth EUR 300 million.
