Monext receives PCI DSS certification

Wednesday 23 November 2011 13:51 CET | News

Monext, a French electronic payment company, has received a Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) certification for its international acquiring platform. The platform allows European-based merchants to handle Visa and MasterCard payments.

The audit was conducted by XMCO, a consulting firm focused on information system security.

PCI DSS is a multifaceted security standard that includes requirements for security management, policies, network architecture, software design and other data protection measures. They enable companies that process data for debit, credit, prepaid, e-purse, ATM and POS cards to handle cardholders` information. The certification meets the international standards set by the PCI Council organisation.

In recent news, Monext’s e-commerce payment system has been selected by Redunicre, the acquiring division of Unicre, a Portuguese credit cards issuer, to provide its merchants with access to an online payment service compliant with 3D Secure technology.
