Morpho, Moneo Payment Solutions roll out "MoneoPass by Morpho" contactless card

French identification, detection and e-document solutions company Morpho, a subsidiary of Safran Group, has teamed up with Moneo Payment Solutions, a micropayment services provider, to roll out a new contactless card, dubbed MoneoPass by Morpho.

The new card is set to be used by different markets such as local authorities, universities, businesses and transport operators. The contactless card can be used for a range of applications including Moneo payments, access to transport, access management and control, season tickets, ID badges, catering and loyalty cards.

In addition, the card features a set of new capabilities including Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) for secure applications and compliance with the Calypso transport standard, which is used across France and in a number of other European countries.

Morpho is specialized in personal rights and flow management applications, in particular based on biometrics, as well as secure terminals and smart cards.

Moneo is a micropayment solution which can be used across France by businesses and individuals. Moneo is topped up in banks, in post offices, at ATMs, in telephone boxes with the Moneo logo, and on the internet as well (www.moneo.com).
