National Commercial Bank rolls out Shariah-compliant premium Visa credit card

Saudi Arabian financial services provider National Commercial Bank (NCB) has teamed up with Visa to launch the Visa Platinum Credit Card, a premium credit card that complies with the principles of Islamic law (Sharia), online news outlet ameinfo.com reports.

NCB’s Visa Platinum Credit Card is available in two separate loyalty schemes: Bonus, which provides rewards primarily in the form of cash back, and Amyali, which allows cardholders to accumulate air miles. Cardholders can opt for the scheme that best suits their lifestyle.

In addition to the loyalty program offered by NCB, the Visa Platinum card also includes a travel insurance benefits offering worth up to USD 200,000 as well as access to Visa’s Global Assistance Services. Visa cards are accepted at over 30 million outlets in 170 countries around the world.
