EMV is the global electronic transaction standard that outlines interaction between chip (smart) cards and merchant terminals to ensure inter-operability.
Already certified by Visa, MasterCard and Amex, the Oberthur Technologies Shenzhen production unit has applied and received CUP payment scheme standard certification in a bid to increase the scope of its operations.
