PreCash, Tom Joyner launch the REACH Card

Thursday 6 January 2011 10:35 CET | News

US radio host Tom Joyner has entered a partnership with prepaid debit card services provider PreCash, to roll out a new prepaid debit card, in a bid to enable African Americans to manage their finances.

The newly-launched service, dubbed the REACH Visa Prepaid Card, is issued by The Bancorp Bank, a subsidiary of The Bancorp Group.

Moreover, the REACH Card has an activation fee, a monthly fee and an ATM fee. Thus, cash can be loaded to the cards by direct deposit from an employer at over 100,000 retail locations nationwide.

Although the REACH Card has no fee to add cash at retailers, individual retailers still may charge a fee.
