Rixty rolls out new game cards

Monday 17 October 2011 13:50 CET | News

Rixty, a US alternative payment services provider, has introduced a new Custom Game Card program at the 2011 Game Developers Conference Online (GDC Online). This white-label program allows game publishers to enable gift-giving and monetize users by offering branded prepaid cards that can be customized for each player and reloaded at participating 7-Eleven stores.

The Custom Game Cards use a patent-pending process to add a players username and avatar image to a reusable gift card. Rixtys Custom Game Card program is available immediately and uses gift card reloading technology at 7-Eleven powered by PayNearMe.

In recent news, Rixty has joined forces with US digital distribution service GamersGate to make the latter’s cash payment options available to its consumers.
