TSYS - the winner of 2009 Excalibur Award

The Technology Association of Georgia has announced US processor of merchant acquirers and bank credit card issuer TSYS as the winner of the 2009 Excalibur Award in the Most Creative category.

The Excalibur Awards recognize Georgia’s technology-enabled companies that demonstrate exemplary competency in utilizing technology to enhance their business. TSYS has also finished as runner-up in the Excalibur Awards’ “Large Company” category, along with InterContinental Hotels Group and Southern Company. The credit card processor received the awards for its mobile wallet, loyalty and ease of merchant acceptance product. TSYS` mobile wallet technology allows consumers to use their mobile phones to make purchases.

For Q3 2009, the company`s total revenues reached USD 432.3 million, up 4.9 percent compared to the previous quarter, but down 1.6 percent compared to the same interval in 2008.

The Technology Association of Georgia, a non-profit organisation with 8,300 members representing technology leaders from over 1,700 Georgia-based companies, held the fifth annual Excalibur Awards ceremony on 23 October 2009.
