Turkish mobile operator Turkcell and financial services provider Akbank have jointly launched the Cep-T Neo prepaid card on Turkcell’s SIM banking platform, online media outlet 4-traders.com reports.

According to the source, Cep-T Neo prepaid card enables users to shop to the amount of cash loaded onto their cards. Cep-T Neo can be bought from Turkcell communication centres along with an ID and a mobile handset. Once the subscription is completed, Cep-T Neo users can transfer money to other Neo cards, as well as mobile phones without account information needed. Cep-T Neo can be loaded from Akbank ATMs, Akbank individual internet branches and Turkcell communication centres.

In recent news, Turkcell has added financial services provider Akbank to its Cep-T Cüzdan mobile wallet application. Under the agreement, Turkcell customers can load their Akbank credit cards onto an NFC-enabled phone to make contactless purchases wherever Cep-T Cüzdan is accepted.
