Veridos, Prismade Labs work on interactive security feature for ID cards

Monday 10 June 2019 00:31 CET | News

Veridos has joined forces with Prismade Labs to integrate Prismade printed electronics technology into Veridos ID cards and system solutions.

As part of the collaboration, printed electronics will be used to digitally mark ID cards, thus it will enable them to create interactive interfaces with smartphones. Also, the technology requires neither a chip nor radio waves.

Veridos considers that with Prismade, both companies are developing a new security feature that can be verified by untrained personnel, with no need for specific readers. This way they are reducing the barriers to digital verification by connecting smartphones in a user-friendly way.
