VocaLink selects Verizon for PCI-DSS purposes

UK-based international payment services provider VocaLink has entered an agreement with US mobile carrier Verizon Wireless.

Under the terms of the deal, Verizon Business professional consultants are expected to provide audit, management and implementation services to enable VocaLink to achieve and maintain Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) certification.

VocaLink processes over 3.2 billion card-initiated payments every year.

In recent news, Dutch digital security company Gemalto has entered an agreement with Verizon Wireless to deploy its over-the-air (OTA) platform and Universal Integrated Circuit Card (UICC) for the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE Mobile Broadband network.
