Western Union rolls out reloadable prepaid Visa-branded cards

US global money transfer services provider Western Union unveils two reloadable Visa prepaid cards.

The Western Union MoneyWise and Gold Card Visa prepaid cards, which are issued by financial services provider MetaBank integrate all the features of a reloadable Visa prepaid card and can be used at any location which accepts Visa debit cards, including the online channel and ATMs. In order to register for either of the two cards, customers are not required a credit check or bank account. They can sign up for them on WesternUnion .com, via direct mail or over the phone.

The Visa-branded cards provide users with the ability to manage their card account both online and over the phone and also reload money at almost 46,000 participating Western Union Agent locations across the US. Presently, Western Union provides members of the Gold Card loyalty program with reloadable Gold Prepaid Visa cards.
