BioCatch granted two patents from US Patent Office

Wednesday 8 July 2015 | 11:15 AM CET

BioCatch, the global provider of behavioral biometrics, has been granted two new patents from the US Patent Office.

The first patent, dubbed ‘System, device, and method of detecting identity of a user of a mobile electronic device’ extends the protection to the cloud enabling every app developer to implement BioCatch’s technology within their app.

BioCatch was also granted a patent dubbed ‘Method and Device for Confirming Computer End-User Identity,’ which grants BioCatch a patent for its ‘Invisible Challenges’ - hidden tests that the Company has developed. The challenges evaluate the personal response to a variety of on-screen cues. By processing all of these factors, BioCatch identifies a unique cognitive signature that cannot be imitated, lost or stolen.

The authentication technology is based on a number of physiological factors such as palm size, press-size, hand tremor and eye-hand coordination, as well as behavioral traits, such as usage preferences and device interaction patterns.

BioCatch is a provider of behavioral biometric, authentication and malware detection solutions for mobile and web applications. Available as a cloud-based solution, BioCatch collects and analyzes more than 400 cognitive parameters to generate a unique user profile.
