AllClear ID, an identity theft protection company, has entered a partnership with the National Cyber-Forensics and Training Alliance (NCFTA).

Under the terms of the agreement, via AllClear ID, consumers will receive an alert when their private information is at a risk. AllClear ID’s new integration provides consumers with warning when their personal information is reported stolen along with assistance on how to protect themselves. Additionally, consumers will have direct access to this information.

The NCFTA has numerous member organizations, including law enforcement, private sector companies and researchers, which are aimed at protecting companies from cybercrime and fraud.

The fraud detection service and alerts through AllClear ID includes support, internet scanning and reporting and alerts when compromised personal data is discovered. Consumers can register for the free service online on the company’s website or download the new AllClear ID iPhone application from the Apple App Store.

In 2011, 44 percent of the stolen information discovered included user names and passwords, while 22 percent of the data contained stolen credit card numbers.
