Begslist enters partnership with WePay for fraud prevention

Thursday 20 December 2012 11:20 CET | News

Begslist.org, a website where people can raise money and receive online donations, has entered a partnership with online payments start-up WePay, which helps people sell tickets to events, send invoices, sell items online and accept donations online.

Begslist.org has integrated the WePay platform on its website in order to upgrade the security capabilities and enable its Begslist users to raise money and receive online donations without worrying about fraud. With WePay, the email addresses of Begslist users are not displayed when making a donation attempt and this will prevent artists from getting users emails to send spam.

WePay currently offers a range of payment products which are mostly aimed at the small and medium sized online businesses. The company’s tools currently focus on four use cases: selling products online, selling tickets, accepting donations and sending bills to request payments. Merchants can use WePay’s tools to set up online stores and embed them on their own websites.
