Digital identity card ShoCard is launched

Wednesday 6 May 2015 09:16 CET | News

ShoCard, a startup that stores your identity onto Bitcoin’s blockchain, has just been launched.

ShoCard is basically a file that only you can manipulate. When you create your ShoCard, you first scan your identity document and sign it. Then, the mobile application will generate a private and public key to seal that record. It is encrypted, hashed and sent to the network of communicating nodes running Bitcoin software for later use.

ShoCard wants to partner with banks to replace redirections when you do an online purchase.
