Dutch government websites suffer cyber-attack

The Dutch government’s main websites was out on the 10th of February 2015.

The outage lasted more than seven hours and the following day the government confirmed it was a cyber-attack.

The outage affected most of the central government’s major websites, which provide information to the public and the media, but phones and emergency communication channels remained online.

Other Dutch websites were also hit by the distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack.
