MRC, the merchant-led trade association focused on online payments, fraud and e-commerce, has organized in Lisbon, Portugal a series of round-table discussions and table-top exercises for payments and fraud ecommerce professionals.

The event attracted more than 200 global merchants. Discussions led by payments and fraud professionals covered 3D secure, conversion rates, SEPA, affiliate fraud, regional specific concerns, alternative payment methods, chargeback operations, credit card surcharges by country, law enforcement interaction and much more.
We believe in the mission of the MRC to help strengthen the payments community against fraud and are proud to help sponsor the Lisbon event, said Jason Sloderbeck, director of product management for RSA Silver Tail.

The collaboration of merchants and security professionals at these events helps to keep payment security issues at the forefront and drives RSA to address our customers most pressing concerns within the on-line and card not present eco-system.

Online fraud is a growing and costly problem. Our merchants are from all over the world and attend our Platinum meeting with specific concerns that they need addressed, said Nicolas Vedrenne, MRCs managing director, Europe. The format of the event, including the workshops, the small group discussions, site visits and case studies provide the right balance of learning and networking so that everyone leaves with a handful of new ideas, and in many cases, solutions to their current issues.
