First Atlantic Commerce (FAC), a global online payment solutions provider, has added US fraud-fighting technology developer Kount to the FAC payments platform to protect its merchants against card-not-present fraud.

Kount delivers fraud and risk management services for companies working in card-not-present environments enabling them to prevent and fight fraud/risk operations. The companys proprietary technology platform includes artificial intelligence fraud detection methods that provide assessments for card-not-present transactions, including mobile payments. The company manages transactions from over 200 countries and evaluates orders in 180 different currencies.

Headquartered in Bermuda and established in 1998, FAC provides merchants with multi-currency payment services as well as fraud and data management services including North American Address Verification (AVS), CVV2/CVC2/CID verification and 3-D Secure in multiple jurisdictions across Europe, Asia and the Latin American Caribbean region.

Online fraud continues to increase in size, sophistication and speed, which means that an all-in-one fraud management system is crucial for online merchants to not only detect fraudulent transactions, but to reduce decline rates on suspicion of fraud.
