Fiserv to enable biometric authentication for COMBANK customers

Thursday 23 November 2017 09:29 CET | News

Commercial Bank of Ceylon, a large Sri Lankan bank, will implement Fiserv’s Digital Access platform to enable biometric authentication for its customers.

The new digital banking solution will support multiple local languages including Sinhala, Tamil, Bengali, and Divehi. As for functionality, it will allow customers to open accounts and apply for credit cards without having to actually come to a bank branch. Furthermore, it will offer them push notifications and biometric authentication options.

The project’s announcement comes after Fiserv announced it would upgrade Bank of Sidney’s digital banking services earlier in 2017.
