IBM to address data breaches with new system

Tuesday 18 July 2017 14:30 CET | News

IBM has unveiled IBM Z, a transaction system, capable of running more than 12 billion encrypted transactions per day.

The new system introduces an encryption engine that makes it possible to encrypt data associated with any application, cloud service or database all the time. IBM Zs new data encryption capabilities are designed to address the global epidemic of data breaches.

The IBM Z also helps clients to comply with new standards such as the EUs General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) that will increase data protection requirements for organizations doing business in Europe starting 2018.
