ILD Teleservices rolls out new verification system for merchants

Wednesday 21 April 2010 11:36 CET | News

ILD Teleservices, a US-based alternative payment processing services provider, has upgraded its iValidate service.

The iValidate application will comprise a personal identification service in addition to the already available name and address validation. The new version of iValidate service can confirm whether the name, address and telephone number are connected to the same consumer at the point of sale and also checks whether the personal consumer information provided matches the last four digits of the submitted social security number.

The new product is set to enable its merchant customers to verify consumer records, prior to submitting charges to a consumers’ phone bill for payment. At the time of sale, merchants offering ILD Teleservices Bill to Phone payment will perform a confirmation of certain personally identifiable information, including name, address, telephone and now the last four digits of a social security number, to ensure authorization.

Founded in 1996, ILD Teleservices is a division of ILD Corporation, which offers Bill to Phone payment services that allow product and service purchase online or over the phone by directly charging the phone bill, without disclosing customers’ personal financial data to each business.
