The company’s Data Breach Investigations Report (DBIR) indicates that there were over 150,000 victims of identity theft in the UK alone in 2012, with 75 percent of all fraud identity thefts having an opportunistic nature. The DBIR also finds that 76 percent of data breaches have exploited weak or stolen passwords and credentials.
