Ingenico Group supports Cabela's for P2PE implementation

Thursday 26 May 2016 | 10:12 AM CET

Ingenico Group has announced that Cabela`s relies on Ingenico’s services to ease the process of implementing point-to-point encryption (P2PE) in all of its stores.

Cabela’s implemented P2PE to further protect customer card data. In order to complete the implementation, Cabela’s installed base of Ingenico Group’s smart terminals required application updates and key management. Using Ingenico Group’s Offline Remote Key Injection (Offline RKI) solution, Cabela’s was able to update its terminals remotely.

Cabela’s has more than 80 retail locations in the US and Canada, and uses Ingenico Group’s iSC Touch 250 smart terminals to provide a secure checkout experience for its outdoor customers. The smart terminals offer a full range of upselling/cross-selling capabilities, such as the ability to display digital advertisements and videos, gift card promotions, and more.

Ingenico Group is a France-based company, which provides the technology involved in secure electronic transactions. Its traditional business is based on the manufacture of point of sale (POS) payment terminals

Cabela's is a direct marketer and specialty retailer of hunting, fishing, boating, camping, shooting, and related outdoor recreation merchandise, based in US.
