IronKey parners Imation to focus on securing access to cloud services

US-based portable computing services provider IronKey has entered a partnership with Imation, a global technology company, to focus its efforts on helping enterprises secure access to cloud-based internet services.

Under the terms of the deal, Imation will purchase the assets of IronKeys secure data storage hardware business. IronKey will make its cloud-based security services available to Imation’s customers providing them with access to a set of capabilities to manage mobile devices, encryption, security policies, fraud prevention and virtualized applications.

In recent news, US-based community bank Guaranty Bank and Trust Company has teamed up IronKey to provide its business customers with the IronKey Trusted Access service which offers protection against identity theft, payments fraud and online banking account takeover.
