Jumio provides XP Capital with Netverify customer identification solution

Tuesday 23 July 2013 00:36 CET | News

Jumio, an online verification and mobile payments platform company, has provided XP Capital, a mobile betting platform, with its Netverify customer identification solution.

The solution enables XP Capital customers to use the camera on their mobile device to scan their ID document which is then validated by Jumio’s technology to ensure that players are who they say they are and that they are of legal age.

Jumio Netverify is available for websites or mobile applications and supports ID scanning and verification of passports, driver licenses and other documents to enable clients to meet a variety of know-your-customer requirements.

Identifying customers is crucial for m-commerce providers due to their legal obligation to ‘know your customer’ for a range of products and services. Previously, the online gaming industry required customers to fax or email proof of ID to allow customers to make a transaction but Netverify removes the time and cost associated with this outdated method.

Jumio provides payments and ID scanning & validation products for mobile and web transactions. The companys products are used by retailers, marketplaces and financial institutions.
