Magento, an e-commerce solutions provider, has entered a partnership with Kount, the US fraud-fighting technology developer, to add the latter’s enterprise-level fraud prevention platform to the Magento Go hosted platform.

Following the integration, Magento Go customers are able to use the fraud detection system powered by Kount. The company expects to expand its support of the Magento platform including Magento Professional, Magento Enterprise and Magento Community in early 2012. For each transaction, Kounts decisioning engine analyses hundreds of relevant variables and activity across the globe. Kount applies technologies including Multi-layered Device Fingerprinting, Proxy Piercer geo-location tools, statistical scoring, rules-based fraud detection, cross-merchant linking, and Persona behavioural modelling.

In recent news, e-commerce company Zoovy has selected to provide its customers with the latter’s fraud protection service.

Kount provides fraud and risk management services for companies working in card-not-present environments enabling them to prevent and fight fraud/risk operations.
