Paymetric launches Data Intercept service for SAP

Wednesday 18 May 2011 10:45 CET | News

Paymetric, a provider of integrated and enterprise payment acceptance services, has launched the Data Intercept service for SAP.

Data Intercept for SAP is set to capture card number values prior to their entering the SAP environment and manages Paymetric’s XiSecure On-Demand tokenization technology. Paymetric’s Data Intercept for SAP tokenizes the card number which is returned to SAP where the original payment card field is populated and can be used for authorization.

Data Intercept eliminates sensitive cardholder data from being typed directly in a SAP landscape, placing the system in a position to be removed from the scope of Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS). According to the Ponemon Institute estimates that the average cost of a data security breach has grown from USD 204 in 2010 to USD 214 per customer record.

Data Intercept services for XiSecure On-Demand are currently in two options which include Data Intercept for e-commerce and Data Intercept stand-alone.
