Rabobank Australia and New Zealand selects ThreatMetrix to secure e-banking channel

Tuesday 27 November 2012 08:54 CET | News

Rabobank Australia and New Zealand, part of the Netherlands-based financial services provider Rabobank Group, has selected ThreatMetrix, a US provider of integrated cybercrime prevention solutions, for its TrustDefender Client solution to help secure its internet banking channel and protect its clients from malware attacks.

As a result, any new client who participates in Rabobank’s internet channel receives a two-factor authentication token and a communication on the availability of TrustDefender Client. When a customer logs into Rabobank, they also get a splash screen telling them about malware risks and how TrustDefender Client can help protect them.
TrustDefender Client eliminates the risk of hidden malware compromising authenticated sessions to steal data, identities or money.

According to estimates from the Aite Group, an independent research and advisory firm, 25 million unique strains of malware have been released in 2011 and the annual production of malware is expected to increase to 87 million by the end of 2015.

ThreatMetrix serves a global customer base across a variety of industries, including financial services, e-commerce, payments, social networks, government and healthcare.
