ReD provides fraud prevention services for WiMacTel

ReD, a global provider of fraud prevention and payment services, has been selected by North American telecommunications company WiMacTel, for its fraud prevention service ReD Shield.

Under the terms of the deal, WiMacTel is using ReD Shield to protect the company from complex fraud and risk issues associated with processing legacy operator calls in Canada and the US. Delivered as a managed service, ReD Shield enables instant accept or deny decisioning, protecting WiMacTel from fraudulent credit and calling card transactions.

ReD Shield protects payment transactions that are accepted over the internet, via mail order, telephone order or through interactive TV by constantly monitoring and analysing card activity across the globe.

WiMacTel provides telecommunications services to airports, inmate facilities, payphone operators, hotels, hospitals, universities and local exchange companies. ReD delivers its payment fraud prevention and payment processing services to international clients ranging from global telecommunications to retail, travel, petroleum, banking and the e-commerce sectors. The company has offices in the UK, US, China, Australia and South Africa.
