Semafone appoints Katherine Grover as CFO

UK payment security technology company Semafone has appointed Katherine Grover as chief financial officer to support the company’s development.

Katherine will be based at Semafone’s headquarters in Surrey and will work closely with chief executive officer Tim Critchley as the company continues to grow its business across a number of sectors including financial services, travel and leisure, utilities and telecommunication.

Katherine joins Semafone from KnowledgePool, provider of managed learning services, where she was group finance director. Her previous experience includes 17 years working with companies in the biotechnology, healthcare, outsourcing and information technology markets.

Founded in 2009, Semafone offers a solution which takes telephone payments out of the scope of PCI DSS regulations. The company’s mission is to secure voice transactions and reduce credit card fraud in contact centres worldwide in order to support the global scale of the PCI mandate. The company already has a customer base than includes Europe, North America and Africa.
