Socure, a US-based identity and reputation applications developer, has inked a contract with Irish-based authentication technology provider ValidSoft.

Under the terms of the partnership, Socure will implement Validsoft’s security architecture Secure Mobile Architecture for Real-Time Transactions (SMART) to underpin its security offerings in social networks. The derivative platform, known as SMARTsocial, is aimed at social network identity authentication and verification and ensuring the integrity of transactions resulting from the augmented reality intersection between social networks, financial services and other services where privacy and/or data integrity is paramount. Socure has revealed plans to launch its platform of scalable security solutions for the social web later in 2012.

ValidSoft is a subsidiary of Elephant Talk Communications and provides services to counter electronic fraud relating to card, the internet and telephone channels. ValidSofts services are used to verify the authenticity of both parties to a transaction (Mutual Authentication) and the integrity of the transaction itself (Transaction Verification) for the mass market.
