Thursday 16 December 2010 10:44 CET | News

South African financial services provider Absa Bank has entered an agreement with global decision management services providers FICO, to deploy the latter’s Falcon Fraud Manager 6 product suite for Absa’s debit and credit card portfolios.

As a result, Absa is expected to use FICO’s technology to manage decisions across the customer lifecycle on its card and retail products.

In addition, FICO and its partner PIC Solutions, a credit risk services company in the EMEA region, have worked with Absa to deploy FICO’s Blaze Advisor business rules management system and FICO’S TRIAD service for customer management, as well as the Debt Manage system for collections and recovery powered by FICO.

Currently, Absa Bank counts over 10 million retail banking clients, whereas FICOS’s Falcon Fraud Manager 6 is used in transactions for over 2.1 billion active card accounts.

The service is expected to be implemented during 2011.
