Semafone’s patented solution will allow Stansberry to achieve PCI DSS compliance. Using Semafone, customers will be able to continue their conversation with a member of staff at Stansberry while they enter their card details, rather than being diverted into a machine. Semafone’s application will protect Stansberry’ customers’ credit and debit card data when they wish to make a payment during a telephone call. Customers will only have to enter their card details directly into their telephone handsets.
The implementation is set to be rolled out over the next couple of months and will integrate Semafone with Stansberry’s other call centre vendors, including Nuxiba (telephony carrier), Advantage CS (CRM) and Litle & Company (payment processing gateway). Semafone’s solution will be hosted by Nuxiba.
Founded in 2009, Semafone offers a solution which takes telephone payments out of the scope of PCI DSS regulations. The company’s mission is to secure voice transactions and reduce credit card fraud in contact centres worldwide in order to support the global scale of the PCI mandate. The company already has a customer base than includes Europe, North America and Africa.
