Under the terms of the deal, STB will use Vasco’s Vacman Controller and Digipass 260 authentication products in order to secure its enterprise customers. Digipass 260 is a password-protected authentication device that is leveraged for user authentication and enables transaction signing. To access the bank’s online banking services, users need to enter their PIN-code into the Digipass device. Further on, the device will generate a one-time password (OTP) which the customer needs to type into the logon screen of the online banking application to gain access to the banking account.
Vacman Controller is an authentication platform provided by Vasco, which integrates a number of authentication applications including OTP, challenge-response and e-signature on a single platform. The platform can be integrated into existing banking applications and can be deployed for user authentication services.In recent news, Vasco Data Security has entered a partnership with Russian financial services provider VTB 24 to provide the latter with its authentication service Identikey.
