Tesco Bengaluru develops fraud prevention platform

Tesco Bengaluru, the technology centre for UK-based retailer Tesco, has developed a data analytics-based fraud prevention platform for online business.

Tesco works with third-party rules engine providers to screen orders, while the rules on flagging fraud are decided by them and is based on association with the customer, products purchased and customer behaviour.

The retailer has gathered millions of bytes of customer information over the years and now, the tech centre has created a platform which detects online and offline fraud. The analytics platform also points out returns and buyer-supplier collisions.
