ThreatMetrix releases ThreatMetrix Labs

ThreatMetrix, a US-based a provider of integrated cyber security services, has rolled out ThreatMetrix Labs, which generates reports on the latest capabilities of malware that targets financial institutions, merchants and online businesses.

The reports will allow enterprises, financial institutions, credit unions, payment providers, government agencies and security professionals to become aware of current and emerging online security threats.

In addition, the company has also identified various trends and predictions for 2012 including more drive-by-downloads, more MitB Trojans targeting social networking websites, more MitB page injections and the fact that an increased use of mobile banking and mobile commerce will make mobile devices a big target for fraudsters.

According to research company Aite Group, there were 25 million new strains of malware released and that number is expected to reach 87 million by the end of 2015.

ThreatMetrix serves a global customer base across a variety of industries, including financial services, e-commerce, payments, social networks, government and healthcare.

In recent news, the company partnered TransUnion, the global leader in information and risk management, to launch fraud prevention platforms designed for high-volume e-commerce businesses, as well as new account origination and account management for financial institutions and social media websites.
