Transaction Network Services acquires RoamEx

Transaction Network Services (TNS), a provider of payment gateway and payment network connectivity services has acquired Canadian fraud prevention provider RoamEx.

The acquisition will enable TNS to upgrade its portfolio which provides anti-fraud solutions to mobile operators by integrating RoamEx’s fraud prevention and mitigation platform.

TNS’ roaming services portfolio enables wireless phone subscribers to travel outside of their home market and make phone calls, access the Internet and receive email. TNS provides network, database and next generation services to over 1100 telecommunications companies around the world and services to customers in 60 countries worldwide.

RoamEx is a wireless fraud prevention provider protecting mobile operators against revenue loss. The company enables mobile operators to offer a range of roaming options by providing them with solutions for wireless fraud control. RoamEx provides roamer visibility to GSM and CDMA mobile operators in over 50 countries, enabling fraud management.
