Tuesday 15 May 2012 10:08 CET | News

TeleSign, a provider of internet fraud prevention and intelligent authentication, has upgraded its PhoneID 2.0 service for the UK and Germany.

The PhoneID technology allows companies to identify risk transactions by analysing and reporting a set of key attributes associated with a phone number. This information includes phone type such as landline, mobile including pre and postpaid data as well as VoIP numbers, registration location information and other parameters. The upgraded version for the UK and Germany includes detection of each of these phone types, which enables online businesses to identify and stop internet fraud and spam.

TeleSign has executed more than one billion authentication and verification transactions in more than 200 countries and 87 languages. Most recently, TeleSign has entered a partnership with Intel to provide two-factor authentication solution for consumers and enterprises.
