Valimo, Trivnet to roll out mobile security service for mobile money transfers

Mobile authentication services provider Valimo and Trivnet, a transaction management platform developer, have entered a partnership to deliver a mobile financial services powered by Valimo’s Mobile ID technology.

Based on Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), the application is set to enable mobile network operators to provide their customers with secure mobile financial services such as payments and remittance, m-commerce and m-banking.

The Valimo Mobile ID application can be used for services that require personal authentication, identification or a legally binding signature. When using an online service that demands authentication or digital signing, the request is sent to the user’s mobile phone. After receiving the message, the user is asked to confirm his or her identity or approval by entering the personal PIN code. Valimo mobile signature is compatible with all mobile phones and devices with a SIM card or other secure storage inside.

The application will be demonstrated and showcased at the upcoming Mobile Money Transfer Africa 2010 Conference and Expo.
