Monday 21 October 2013 07:45 CET | News

Swiss-based authentication and e-signature services provider Vasco Data Security International has revealed plans to close its R&D facility in Brisbane, Australia.

VASCO has R&D facilities in The Netherlands, Belgium, France, Austria, the UK and Australia. The time difference and the travel distance between the main R&D facilities in Europe and the Brisbane office were among the decisive factors for VASCO to discontinue its Brisbane office. In Australia, the company continues to invest in its Sydney regional sales headquarters.

Vasco is a supplier of authentication and e-signature solutions as well as services specializing in internet security applications and transactions. Vasco serves a customer base of almost 10,000 companies in more than 100 countries, including approximately 1,700 international financial institutions.

In recent news, Vasco has been selected by financial services provider Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) for its DIGIPASS 275.
