Vasco Data Security to offer Digipass service to Indian banks, financial institutions

Swiss authentication and e-signature services provider Vasco Data Security has revealed plans to expand in India by offering the Digipass service, jointly developed with Intel Corporation, to Indian banks and financial institutions.

The new technology provides in the cloud, web-based identity and transaction security.

According to Dan Dica, Vasco Data Security Regional Director, Pacific, India & Japan, cited by online media outlet ZeeNews India, the company is looking to expand in India by providing their technology to Indian banks and financial institutions to protect themselves and their customers against the latest e-banking fraud attacks.

Vasco serves a customer base of approximately 10,000 companies in more than 100 countries, including almost 1,700 international financial institutions. VASCO targets markets which include the financial sector, enterprise security, e-commerce and e-government.
