The newly launched DIGIPASS device offers the possibility to authenticate and generate OTPs through the use of a Belgian e-ID card and the PIN code linked to the e-ID. With the launch of DIGIPASS 810 e-ID, VASCO enables consumers to access websites secured by MYDIGIPASS.COM with their e-ID, ensuring authentication a user-friendly means. Although DIGIPASS 810 e-ID is developed for the Belgian e-ID card, VASCO can localize the product to other countries and other applications. DIGIPASS 810 e-ID creates many possibilities to use e-ID cards for secure and convenient online transactions worldwide.
When logging on to an online application or website, the user clicks on the MYDIGIPASS.COM button on the website and generates an OTP by inserting his e-ID card in the DIGIPASS 810 e-ID reader and entering the e-ID’s PIN code. By filling out this OTP during the authentication process, the login will no longer be susceptible for online attacks.
