Verayo, Bartronics partnership targets Indian RFID chip technology market

Thursday 3 September 2009 10:00 CET | News

US security and authentication services provider Verayo has partnered Indian bar code and RFID technology company Bartronics to provide a joint RFID offering for the Indian market.

Under the terms of the strategic partnership, Verayo is set to market its RFID chip technology in India. Verayo’s RFID chips are manufactured using a “silicon” biometric technology dubbed Physical Unclonable Functions (PUF), a type of electronic DNA or fingerprinting technology for silicon chips that prevents the chips from being cloned by fraudsters. Bartronics’ RFID tags are thus set to incorporate Verayo’s RFID chip and can be used in applications such as consumer product anti-counterfeiting, mass transit tickets, secure IDs and access cards.
