Wednesday 12 January 2011 11:57 CET | News

Global provider of data protection services Voltage Security has entered a partnership with US provider of payment gateway and data security services Merchant Link.

Under the terms of the deal, both parties are expected to offer a service that combines Voltage’s SecureData Payments service, which includes decryption and tokenization options, with Merchant Link’s Payment Gateway.

The newly-announced service is set to provide Voltage Security’s point-to-point encryption technology, where cardholder data is encrypted at the point of capture. In addition, the service is set to offer Merchant Link’s TransactionVault tokenization technology, decryption and payment gateway connecting the PoS to the merchant’s processor of choice.

Both companies are expected to exhibit at the NRF event in New York.

In a recent development, Merchant Link has teamed up with French payment products and services company Ingenico in a bid to develop a joint product suite.
