Global provider of data protection services Voltage Security has rolled out its latest update to its Voltage SecureMail encryption service.

Voltage Security is set to add new capabilities to its SecureMail service to enable OEM, to allow reseller partners to add email to their on-premise and cloud offerings and to provide encryption policy and workflow for global enterprises.

Aimed at corporate enterprises, financial institutions and telecoms providers, healthcare Voltage SecureMail features policy-based archiving, external recipient message-sending policies and message locking which enables the users to lock the message after it has been sent.

For senders and recipients, Voltage SecureMail includes a BlackBerry reader app which allows external recipients to receive and respond to emails and an enrollment service which checks if the person who requests enrollment owns the identity which is being used.

Voltage SecureMail provides two alternatives for its partners such as an on-premise option to enable them to use the Gateway SDK to integrate email encryption directly into their appliances, including the stateless key management from Voltage SecureMail Cloud. The cloud-based option allows partners to integrate with the Voltage SecureMail Cloud Gateway so they can offer a cloud service.

Voltage also provides the Identity-Based Encryption (Voltage IBE) which supports a Key Management for protecting sensitive information based on policy. Via IBE, organizations are able to meet regulatory compliance requirements while enabling e-mail protection.
