Under the terms of the deal, the joint services are set to integrate 3i Infotech’s e-billing, correspondence delivery and electronic lockbox offerings with a Western Union suite of electronic payment services. Thus, the ePayments platform is expected to provide corporate billers with several capabilities, including one-time, same day or next day payments as well as recurring payment plans.
Each of the joint e-billing and payment services is expected to be available together or individually from either company. The agreement has been announced at the NACHA Payments conference.
