ARX integrates CoSign Digital Signatures for SAP at the Israel Ports Company

Wednesday 7 April 2010 11:35 CET | News

US-based provider of digital signature technology ARX has completed an integration of the CoSign digital signature solution with SAP at the Israel Ports Development & Assets Company (IPC).

The integration allows IPC, which is responsible for the development of Israel’s three commercial seaports, to access a new PDF signing capability within its SAP workflow.

The IPC uses CoSign digital signatures for SAP within their Commercial and Purchasing departments to authorize payment requests, thereby automating the final step of their SAP-based workflow.

Payment request authorization is a process that requires approvals from multiple parties including the buyers who produce the request, Purchasing and Commercial managers, and others. By automating this process with digital signatures, the IPC can sign documents digitally, thus allow for the verification of signer identity and intent and document integrity.

At the core of this functionality is the CoSign SAPI (Signature API), which ARX tailored to function with SAP’s programming language, ABAP. By doing so, the CoSign digital signing capability is used within the SAP interface, without the need to download PDFs from SAP or use additional third-party technology.
