Citi Commercial Cards has made available mobile alerts for cardholders and Program Administrators (PAs) in Colombia, India, Singapore and now the US.
The expansion of Citi’s global mobile messaging offering will offer Citi’s US corporate cardholders the ability to receive SMS alerts for statement that are ready to be viewed, payments received, payments due and past-due.
In order to select and register for these SMS alerts, Citi cardholders can log on to CitiManager, Citi’s globally available online Card Management Tool.
In October 2011, Global Transaction Services, a division of Citi’s Institutional Clients Group, has launched CitiDirect BE Mobile, a mobile browser-based application allowing clients to receive notifications and authorize payments using their mobile phones.
Citi has also been piloting a functionality that allows Treasury Services clients using their mobile devices to access more of the features available within CitiDirect Online Banking.
Mobile users are expected to release payments for straight through processing, check account balances and transaction status providing for added convenience. Other features include selecting from additional language options, all supporting client demand and Citi’s global footprint of over 50 countries and optimize usability of their mobile devices with an enhanced user interface design.
